Chiropractic care is is the assessment of conditions related to the spine, nervous system, and joints and the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of these structures, primarily by adjustment. A chiropractic adjustment consists of a specific and gentle force to the spine where misalignments or restrictions are found in order to help regain movement, restore proper alignment, and decrease nerve interference.

Chiropractic care is often better known for its biomechanical component, which may slow down the process of spinal degeneration (arthritis) and help alleviate several conditions such as lower-back pain, neck pain, headaches, and migraines. It is also a great tool to help you achieve optimal health, since your spine protects one of your most precious assets—your nervous system.

Available techniques include: Swedish and Therapeutic Massage, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, Trigger Point Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Hot Stone Massage, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) Stretching, Manual Lymph Drainage, TMJ (temporomandibular joint) Mastery and Muscle Energy.

Dr. Josee Dutrisac (Chiropractor)

Dr. Josée completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with honours from the University of Ottawa in June 2009 and pursued her Doctorate degree in Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, where she graduated magna cum laude in March 2013.

She is certified in the Webster Technique and is currently enrolled in the ICPA’s Certification Program, a 200-hour series that specifically focuses on prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care. She also completed her yoga teacher’s training in August 2013, and is now a Certified Yoga Instructor.
